We are looking for a skilled Java developer to join our remote and hybrid European team building innovative cloud-based applications for our clients in FinTech, PropTech and BizTech.

You will play a pivotal role in the architecture, build, deployment and maintenance of Java backends on these projects.

Our backends are built in Java EE using Spring and Hibernate frameworks on the Google Cloud Platform, with our frontends built in Angular or React.

What you’ll be doing

• Building backend APIs on Google Cloud Platform using Java, Spring, Hibernate and SQL
• Handing off those APIs to the front-end developers for implementation
• Helping to solve any back-end issues that may arise on production
• Working on exciting market-leading projects for various clients across FinTech, PropTech and BizTech
• Working remotely from home and/or from your local Regus office
• Working in the scrum agile methodology with daily standups, sprint planning sessions and retrospectives, etc
• Using Slack, Jira, Zoom and Confluence daily to communicate with teammates

Your ideal qualities

• Enthusastic about the possibilities of technology and coding
• Experience with Java EE programming, Spring, Hibernate and SQL
• Knowledge of Git, Relationship Databases, Cloud Architecture
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform infrastructure
• Enjoy coding with focus on clean code and writing tests
• Enthusiasm for working in a growing business culture, working independently and collaborating with a remote team
• Independent worker familiar with working in Agile Scrum methodology
